Q:Reflect on the experience of learning how to use WeVideo for video editing. How would you feel about helping someone else learn how to use it? What did you find most interesting? What did you find most frustrating? What questions do you still have, and what parts of the tool do you want to explore more deeply?
I really enjoyed using WeVideo to create a short video. It is a really intuitive video-making tool to use and is really helpful for creating short videos of decent quality.
I’ve used WeVideo before for a class, and while it wasn’t greatly difficult to use, there for a few quirks of the site here and there that I had to get used to before really being able to use it comfortably. To that end, I would say I feel pretty comfortably teaching someone how to use WeVideo. As with most of the tools we work with, it really is a matter of learning the basics of the tool and using those skills to explore.
I really liked the variety of stock content they had- that is one of the benefits of using a paid tool like WeVideo. I was able to create a video of pretty good audio and video quality because of the amount of content they already had available that works well with the app. I also like that it autosaves your work.
The most frustrating part for me was figuring out the transitions. It seemed easy enough at first but things didn’t always work the way I wanted them to when I previewed the video. I was eventually able to figure it out though.
I remember layering multiple videos the last time I used this tool, so that would be something I would want to play around with.
