What feedback do you have for improving this training? What suggestions do you have for a “Level II” training on this tool?
I chose to revisit the StoryMaps training because I’m trying to think of potential tools for my project. StoryMaps is certainly a good visual narrative tool, but I don’t think it will work quite as well for the digital exhibit Prof. Rivera and I are working on creating.
I think last year’s training was lacking some structure. After looking at the upcoming StoryMaps training for Fall 2024, I think the new one is a lot more intuitive to work on. In general, I find that having examples accompany the trainings (which the new training has) is very helpful to visualize what exactly you can make with a digital tool.
In a future training, I personally would like more emphasis on the mapping capabilities of StoryMaps, but I also have an interest in mapping projects, so I would probably look more at this anyway.
